Dear Church Family,

I am thankful for each person who has given to our “Be A Part Of The Story” Capital Campaign.  Our fellowship has given approximately $635,000 through May 2012 in support of the Capital Campaign, which began in 2009.  God has blessed us with 176,000 square feet of indoor space, and significant progress has been accomplished in making needed repairs, improvements, and replacements of aging HVAC equipment.  In addition to the projects which have already been completed, which are shown below, approximately $268,000 in additional capital improvements and system upgrades have been identified and will be considered as projects next in priority, with some projects needing immediate attention. Special envelopes are located in the pews which may be used to make contributions to the campaign.  A listing of the 15 priorities for the 2012 Capital Campaign is also shown below.

Our church will celebrate its 130th birthday on August 12, 2012.  These 130 years are an amazing story of God’s provision, grace, changed lives, and blessings! We are a family of believers representing different cultures and many backgrounds.  Most importantly, we are a strong family bound together by the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am excited that each ministry and all departments of our church are striving for excellence to accomplish the mission of First Baptist Snellville:  Connecting People To Jesus Christ And His Story.  Our fellowship has a rich history of great worship, spirit led music and praise, gifted Bible study teachers, a strong belief that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God, and a passion to win the lost to Christ.  This history exists because of a fellowship which believes in the power of prayer.  My family and I continue to be honored that God has placed us in such a loving and supporting body of believers. Thanks again for your part in making “Be A Part Of The Story” a success.  Pictures of completed projects are shown below.

Sincerely,

Steve Foster
Senior Pastor
